This wasn't a marketing decision.
When we built KindredMind, we built it for one family first. For Kirstin, who was answering twelve calls a day from her mom Sharon, trying to hold her own life together while making sure Sharon never felt alone. That experience taught us something we can't unfocus from: dementia doesn't just happen to the person who has it. It reshapes every person who loves them.
Alzheimer's disease is the crisis behind the crisis. And not enough is being done about it.
So we made a commitment. Five percent of every monthly subscription, every renewal cycle, automatically. You are a sustained donor, not a one-time contributor. When more families find KindredMind, the monthly total grows too, because the giving is tied directly to the subscriber base, not to a separate budget line we could quietly cut.
Where your contribution goes
When you subscribe to KindredMind, you choose where your 5% lands.
Alzheimer Society of Canada
The leading voice for Alzheimer's and dementia in Canada. They fund breakthrough research, run the 24/7 support helpline that families in crisis call at 2am, and advocate for the policies that determine how dementia care is funded and delivered. If you are in Canada and someone you love has dementia, this organization has probably already touched your life.

The world's largest private funder of Alzheimer's research. They operate a round-the-clock helpline, support hundreds of thousands of caregivers through local chapters in every state, and push the research that is slowly, determinedly closing in on this disease. The largest dementia organization in the world, because the need is that large.

Your impact, always visible
Community counter goes live December 31, 2026.
On December 31, 2026, inside your KindredMind dashboard you'll see two numbers: what the full KindredMind community has given to Alzheimer's research since launch, and your contribution within it. Here is what that will look like:
The math is simple. At 1,000 subscribers, each contributing 5% of their monthly subscription, the community generates $12,450 every month. Over fourteen months that is $174,300 going directly to Alzheimer's research, split between the Alzheimer Society of Canada and the Alzheimer's Association based on what subscribers chose at signup.
Your share is part of that. It is not a rounding error. It is what makes the total real.
The community number grows every time a new family subscribes. Your number grows every time your subscription renews. Neither ever resets.
It scales with us, automatically
Because giving is a fixed percentage of each subscription, not a capped budget, it grows with the company. There is no scenario where KindredMind grows while the donation stays flat. Every new subscriber adds to the pool. Every renewal renews the commitment.
A one-time donation is a gesture. A recurring commitment tied to your growth is accountability.
Our first giving report: December 31, 2026
Every subscription from day one counts.
Every subscription from day one contributes 5% to the charity you chose. On December 31, 2026 we will publish the total donated from launch through December 2026, by charity, in full. No buried footnotes. No vague percentages. Just the number and the date. That report will live right here.
You came to KindredMind because someone you love has dementia.
So did we.
This is us doing something about it together.
